Field Cut Straight Sections for MACXLine® Rigid Coaxial Transmission Lines Type MACX650-39

Type MACX650-39 MACXLine Field Cut Straight Sections are used for non-standard length between 5 and 20 feet. MACX650-39 consists of: an outer conductor with one flange attached, fixed flange, and a 20 ft inner conductor section with bullet-bellows assembly, insulators, and hardware. The inner and outer conductors are field cut to the desired length to suit the rigid line system layout. After trimming the outer conductor, the fixed flange is soldered on. The inner conductor, which is cut to match, has provision for attaching the bullet-bellows assembly to either end. This feature eliminates the need to solder a stub to the inner conductor when the length requirement conflicts with support insulator locations. The inner conductor is marked with black ink to designate specific areas where cutting requires a special bellows relocation procedure. This procedure applies only to section flange-to-flange lengths of 161-1/8" to 165-1/8" and 81-7/8" to 85-7/8".

In some cases, they may provide some improvement at the upper VHF TV channel frequencies (Channels 7 to 13), but their use for the lower VHF TV frequencies and FM is not recommended.

Others are responsible for installing appropriate equipment to control side to side movement of the rigid line.

Insulated Hangers for HELIAX® Coaxial Cable

These hangers are designed for mounting coaxial cable to steel towers or other support structures. The hanger is used to isolate the cable from the tower when the cable feeds an antenna mounted on an AM broadcast tower. The Type 11662-3 hanger includes shims appropriate for use with 1/4", 3/8", and 1/2" cables. The 11662-2 hanger is used for 7/8" cable. Hangers must be spaced no more that 3 feet (0.9 m) apart.

MACXLine® 6-1/8″ Rigid Coaxial Transmission Line

Transmission line is designed to provide a high power signal path between transmitter combiner and broadcast antenna. Corrugated bellows are provided at one end of the inner conductor to compensate for differential expansion between inner and outer conductor as the transmission line is heated during operation. A lockout screw and handle is factory installed to lock the bellows assembly at its maximum travel. The lockout screw is engaged for shipping and aids in the proper insertion of the inner conductor into the inner conductor tube. Remove and discard the locking screw/handle after installation of each section.

Types RLA150-39 (4861A), RLA350-39 (4862A) and RLA450-39 Unpressurized Couplings

The Types RLA150-39 (4861A), RLA350-39 (4862A) and RLA450-39 unpressurized couplings are made for use with 50-Ohm, 1-5/8", 3-1/8", and 4-1/16” transmission lines, respectively, and are designed to connect unflanged line sections. The outer conductors are held in place with a coupling sleeve and clamps, while the inner conductors are joined by an inner connector. The couplings do not hold gas pressure and are recommended for indoor use only.

Universal Spring Hanger for ERI Rigid Transmission Line Combiners Type RLA000-18

ERI Type RLA000-18 Universal Spring Hanger is designed for supporting tower-mounted combiners and similar components attached to ERI rigid transmission line. It allows for up to ± 3 inches of vertical movement of the load due to thermal expansion of the line. One hanger will support a load between 50 and 125 pounds. For loads greater than 125 pounds, additional hangers may be used in parallel.

Wall/Roof Feed Thru Kits For HELIAX® Coaxial Cables, Types 40394-1, 40394-2

Types 40394-1 and 40394-2 Wall/Roof Feed Thru Kits provide a weatherproof path through a wall or roof for HJ11-50 and HJ8-50B coaxial cables, respectively. A kit can be mounted to a metal or concrete wall or roof and has eight 3/8 in (10 mm) diameter mounting holes. Each kit consists of a feed-thru plate, rubber boot, adjustable hose clamps, a roll of sealing tape, lock washers, and flat washers.

Wall/Roof Feed-Thru Plates for Rigid Transmission Line Types RLA300-15, RLA400-15, RLA600-15, RLA600B-15-2, RLA700-15, and RLA800B-15

Feed-thru plates seal rigid line access entry points on buildings. The feed-thru plates are split matched halves with a total of eight mounting holes using hardware (not included).

WIDELine™ 6-1/8” Rigid Coaxial Transmission Line

WIDELine™ 6-1/8” coaxial transmission line is designed and manufactured to provide a high reliability, broad band, low VSWR, high power, signal path between a TV transmitter combiner and broadcast antenna. Bellows at the upper end of the inner conductor compensate for differential thermal expansion between inner and outer conductors to prevent bullet wear. A wing screw is factory installed to lock the bellows assembly at its maximum travel during shipping and installation. This screw ensures proper bedding of each section's inner conductor on the lower bullet thus minimizing its VSWR contribution. Remove and discard this screw, after installation of the section.
