To address recent requirements for digital UHF translator and booster applications, Electronics Research, Inc. (ERI) has extended its AL Series UHF television antenna product line to include the AL2 and AL4 models, 2 gain and 4 gain respectively. These new models are extensions of the field proven and popular AL8 UHF Television Antenna. AL2 and AL4 models are end fed which provides very heavy null fill and high reliability, versus center fed designs. Both models have a 7/8-inch EIA RF input and include mounting brackets for tower legs or support pipes from 1.3 to 3.5 inches in diameter. They can be “top mounted” by cantilevering off a top mast or tower leg. The antennas are equipped with a UV resistant ABS radome, are available with horizontal and circular polarization, in omni, Omnioid, and wide cardioid azimuth patterns, and are rated to handle up to 2 kW (average power rating). The AL2 and AL4 are available for all CCIR Band IV/V Channels.
