ERI’s 788 High Power Power HD Radio FM Analog/IBOC Diplexer is modular in construction and designed to provide close channel combining for analog and digital FM broadcasting. ERI’s innovative All Pass design allows stations to operate digitally at powers up to -10dBc. This All Pass Diplexer maintains high efficiency while incurring a much smaller penalty to performance than other methods currently offered. As with all ERI products, the 788 Series use a temperature compensated design to allow the system to meet published specifications from cold start as well as normal operating conditions. All components in the RF path are copper or silver plated to maintain the lowest losses possible. The modules are designed to be oor mounted and is optionally available fully assembled within a mobile frame to ease installation.

IBOX-M-1

Medium power iBOX hybrid combiner. Broadband for entire FM band. Port connections: Analog RF Input Power Rating: 12 kW; Analog Input: 1-5/8-inch EIA flanged; Digital Input: 1-5/8-inch EIA flanged; Antenna Output: 1-5/8-inch EIA flanged; Reject Load Output: 1-5/8-inch EIA flanged; and Combiner set to 10 dB nominal coupling level. Requires customer supplied reject load sized to dissipate 90% of digital transmitter operating power output PLUS 10% of analog transmitter output. It is recommended that this load be sized for approximately twice the calculated requirement and be convection cooled. Interconnecting transmission line customer supplied or quoted separately.

IBOX-M-3

Medium power iBOX hybrid combiner. Broadband for entire FM band. Port connections: Analog RF Input Power Rating: 30 kW; Analog Input: 3-1/8-inch EIA flanged; Digital Input: 1-5/8-inch EIA flanged; Antenna Output: 3-1/8-inch EIA flanged; Reject Load Output: 1-5/8-inch EIA flanged; and Combiner set to 10 dB nominal coupling level. IBOX-MASK-960

High performance iBOX Mask-960, IBOC Spectral Compliance Mask Filter. Temperature compensated. Port connections: Input: 1-5/8-inch EIA flanged; Output: 1-5/8-inch EIA flanged; and Interconnecting transmission line customer supplied or quoted separately.

CD324-8DB

The CD324-8DB is intended for use by FM radio facilities increasing IBOC injection to -14 dB (4%). The CD324 design is based on the field proven 10 dB FM IBOC Hybrid Combiner used extensively in early IBOC FM field trials. By reducing the coupling level to 8 dB the amount of digital power lost to the system reject load is reduced, while the analog power loss increases slightly.
