The XWING™ Series features a unique lattice structure support spine that provides shielding for the inter-bay cabling used in the feed system and is lower weight and wind load than conventional batwing designs. Another benefit to lattice structures is that they are immune to vortex shedding.
The XWING design also includes a low profile “wing” radiating element that reduces wind load and provides for an azimuth pattern with reduced nulls, compared to typical super turnstile designs. The radiating element is constructed of stainless steel to eliminate galvanic corrosion in harsh environments. The antennas are constructed of rugged galvanized steel and brass components mounted on a support pole, which can either be flange or bury mounted on top of the tower. The power dividers are constructed of high quality brass, and the feed harnesses utilize rugged semi-flexible coaxial cables. Available with standard EIA connectors, the antenna can be designed with single or dual inputs.
XWING antenna models are available for low, mid, and high band VHF channels, in any region. On application multichannel versions can also be furnished. The XWING antenna is suitable for either analog or digital services.
Prior to shipment to the site, each antenna is factory assembled, tuned, and tested. Experienced ERI technicians are available to supervise field assembly and installation.
