KVMD-DT Uses ERI TRASAR® Antenna to Serve Los Angeles

Los Angeles California (September 7, 2006) - KVMD-DT is the newest full power television station serving Los Angeles, commencing operations in 2002. The station signed on new digital transmission facilities this summer from Snow Peak in the San Bernardino National Forest. The site, with an elevation of over 8,000-feet above sea level, is subject to significant snow fall and heavy icing conditions. The TRASAR antenna constructed for KVMD-DT features a pressurized radome enclosure that provides protection from these severe environmental conditions. KVMD-DT operates on Channel 23 with the top mounted TRASAR antenna serving over 8 million viewers in the country’s second largest television market.

System integration and construction services were provided by Wireless Infrastructure Services of Corona California.
